About Me

I am a psychiatrist based in Melbourne and have a strong interest in psychotherapy and in-depth, person‑centred care. I work with adults who are looking for a professional who understands the complexity of mood, anxiety, and relationship‑related difficulties, and who values both careful psychiatric assessment and meaningful psychotherapy. My approach is collaborative: I listen and aim to make sense of your situation together, and then help you decide on the most practical and helpful next steps.

I have a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy, which has given me advanced training in multiple psychotherapeutic frameworks, including psychodynamic, cognitive‑behavioural, existential and interpersonal approaches. I integrate these perspectives with general psychiatry, using medication when appropriate, but always as part of a broader understanding of your life, relationships, and emotional history.

I have more than 15 years of experience working in Australia and Brazil. This cross‑cultural background gives me a particular appreciation for the ways language, culture, and migration can shape a person’s understanding of mental health and treatment. I am comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds.

I see patients in person, with options for telehealth when appropriate. If you are looking for a psychiatrist who combines clinical expertise with a reflective, psychotherapy‑informed style, my practice aims to be that space for you.
